Details

According to Guinness, the Carolina Reaper pepper is now considered the hottest pepper on earth. The Carolina Reaper pepper was grown in Carolina, and is now a stable hybrid pepper formerly known as HP22B, which stands for "Higher Power, Pot No. 22, Plant B." The Carolina Reaper pepper or Carolina pepper or Reaper pepper was bred for heat from a red habanero strain and a Pakistani Naga chile pepper. The hottest individual Carolina Reaper pepper came in at 2.2 million Scoville heat units surpassing the previous record holder, Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper which stood at over 2,000,000 Scoville heat units. The Carolina Reaper pepper is about 1.5 to 2 inches in total length, it is bumpy and has a scorpion like tail.

The Carolina Reaper is about twice as hot as the Ghost Pepper or Bhut Jolokia pepper. If you thought the Ghost Pepper was hot, check out the Carolina Reaper chile pepper. It is extremely hot and has a great flavor.

They have no additives, preservatives and are processed in a "sanitary" environment. These are 100% all natural, U.S. grown, no ETO, and non-irradiated.

24+ dried pods in 1 ounce.

Amazing speed of delivery first off. A great service I will be using time and time again in the future. That being said, the actual package itself was in pristine condition and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Every pepper was in perfect or near perfect condition. Their taste was out of this world too. The immense flavor was sweet, aromatic and savory. An almost Umami sensory overload of flavor. I loved it. And then as the heat set in, my face turned to pure sweat, tears formed in the ducts of my eyes and ran down my cheeks and my ears lost all hearing. I was in sensory overload and sensory depreciation at the same time. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful thing. Thanks Alamo (Posted on 11/17/2016)

This chilli is special. Having tried many of the other Super hot chillies out there, I can say that this chilli actually has a great flavour and a super long burn that is always appreciated by chilli lovers. This is besides the fact that this chilli is the world's hottest chilli. Having tried this chilli, I can say it dishes out one of the most potent burns I have ever experienced from any chilli.
Alamo Peppers dried Carolina Reaper pods are way up there on the scoville scale. Pop that bag open and that insanely divine smell of dried tomato and peppers just wafts up your nostrils... delicious - highly recommended to any chillihead... but lesser mortals be warned - these chillies are insanely hot (which is a good thing of course :D ) (Posted on 7/19/2016)

My food without the reaper is not tasty. I just started eating Carolina reapers about two months ago. I bought 8 ounces two months ago. I just bought 16 oz bag this week. it is perfect for any types of food. I gave half a bag away. I hate the GHOST PEPPER and Scorpion but still I love the Carolina Reapers. (Posted on 5/23/2016)

My favorite by far!Review by Matt

This is not the kind of pepper any sane person would just eat whole. The flavor is outstanding though, in my opinion better than any of the other superhots, and I've had almost all of them. I got them dried, and ground them up with my own mix of spices in a coffee grinder then put the mix in a shaker. I use it on eggs, in soups and stews, in sandwiches.... It's my favorite spice.
