Ghost Pepper Burgers

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/8 tsp ghost pepper powder
  • 3 hamburger buns
  • onion, sliced
  • 3 slices bacon
  • 1 egg
  • tomato
  • lettuce
  • 3 slices cheese (any flavor)

Wear gloves when handling ghost pepper and wash hands thoroughly.

Preheat your grill to medium temperature. Put the bacon in a pan on the stove and cook on medium low till its a nice brown color and starting to turn crispy. Put on paper towels to drain when they are cooked.

Add the ground beef, ghost pepper and egg to a bowl. Mix ingredients thoroughly. Divide into 3 portions and form into patties. Make the patties as thin as possible with a small dent in the middle. Place the 3 patties on the grill and cook about 3-4 minutes per side until cooked to medium.

Meanwhile slice the tomato and onion. Add the sliced onion to the grill when you turn the burgers. Add the cheese slices to the burgers for the last 2 minutes and toast the buns on the grill. Put the burgers on the toasted buns and top with the grilled onion. Add the bacon, lettuce and tomato to the plate. Let the meat rest for a couple of minutes before eating.
